Comfy Ceilidh is a seated dance offering, delivered by Capital Theatres’ award-winning dementia friendly programme, featuring live ceilidh music throughout.

Set in our spacious, dementia-adjusted Event Rooms, participants are invited to toe-tap, pas de basque and promenade, all from the comfort of their seats! With teas, coffees and biscuits on tap, Comfy Ceilidh allows people of varied motor and movement ability to get physical, for the benefit of both neurological and cardiovascular health.

Our three distinctive venues in Edinburgh, Festival Theatre, King’s Theatre and Studio Theatre, offer over 700 unforgettable performances each year. From drama to dance, to musicals and family shows, live music and pantomime, we entertain and inspire audiences of all ages.

We want everyone to have access to the arts in a way that works for them, whether that’s on our stages or out in the community. We are committed to nurturing everyone’s creative journey, supporting emerging talent and contributing to the future of the theatre sector.

We build a sense of belonging across our three venues in Edinburgh through the strength of our creative programme and partnerships, including our award-winning dementia friendly programme, of which our proposed event is a part of.
