Move Orkney: Brings Artistry, Culture, Community & Collaboration in form of Dance Health & Beyond

Move Orkney are hosting a series of community performances at The Balfour on Monday 15th June 2026, running from the morning through the lunchtime period. 

These sessions will showcase the incredible breadth of our work, featuring high-energy Bollywood dance from North Walls Primary (P1-7), inspiring movement from The Merry Dancers (participants living with Parkinson’s and MS), and the grace of our Silver Swans (Royal Academy of Dance dancers aged 55+). 

Beyond these performances, Move Orkney will deliver a specialist talk and public workshop tailored for hospital staff, physiotherapy teams, and healthcare professionals. This session will explore how Move Orkney supports clinical health thfough culture and movement, demonstrating how creative dance acts as a radical tool for wellbeing.
