People came and flew a kite with us as we gathered to honour the record-breaking kite flying event by the children of Gaza in 2011. Our family-friendly event, open to all, was a celebration of the strength and joy they found on that day.

The Healing Arts Scotland Opening Celebration event took place outside the Scottish Parliament at 4pm on Monday, 19th August, as part of the Edinburgh International Festival and Festival of Politics, featuring over 250 performers and participants from across Scotland.
